Kim is the founder and owner of MaineStay Realty. She specializes in overseeing the details of the day-to-day activities at MaineStay Realty and also managing listings. She is part of the Olde Millbrook Team with Steve Hammond & Mike Laurendeau, a unique neighborhood located in Scarborough. In addition to specializing in listing property and running a real estate company Kim has also gone on to obtain specialized training to help people in the market avoid foreclosure if necessary. Kim is the first Certified Distressed Property Expert(CDPE) in the State of Maine and has been working with sellers in this unfortunate situation since 2006. Her professional background includes previous affiliations with Coldwell Banker and Keller Williams Realty. While at Keller Williams Realty she was a part of the management team during 2004-2005 and designed and implemented many of their training programs. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine and holds a B.S. in Business Administration. She has been a Broker in the State of Maine for 7 yrs., has 9 yrs. of experience in the Banking industry and a total of 25 yrs. of experience in the Customer Service industry including working for companies like L.L. Bean and Casco Northern Bank, a Banc Boston company. She currently holds a Broker’s license in the State of Maine and is the Designated Broker for MaineStay Realty. She has been awarded the Keller Williams Spirit Award and attained Bronze Circle for sales in 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2006.
She has been a resident of the Greater Portland area for 25 + years. She has two children, Jamie & Cadie, ages 16 and 14, respectively. She volunteers in both of their schools and was a Girl Scout Leader for the Nonesuch Service Unit of the Girls Scouts of Kennebec Council for 6+yrs. She has been active in community service since 1992 when she served as Loaned Executive to the Greater Portland United Way. She has also been active in volunteering with the Kids First Center & the Winterkids Program in Portland.
Helping people sell their house for top dollar or make a savvy real estate investment is what Kim is all about. Recently her career path has taken her into the realm of helping people that are in foreclosure find a way out. She partners with Doug Solman & Peter Ingram of MHSolutions, Inc., a company that can help people out of foreclosure with minimum impact to their credit rating.
